2018 Appalachian Energy Summit

The Appalachian Energy Summit is seeking ambitious, innovative and dedicated students within the energy and sustainability fields to join us July 30th through August 1st in Boone, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for students to network with professionals, gain exposure to prospective employers, as well as enter our Poster Competition to exhibit their research efforts in the field and compete for cash prizes. In order to identify these exceptional young scholars we are asking for your help in spreading the word to students that stand out to you in the energy field.
The 2018 Appalachian Energy Summit is a riveting three-day conference with discussion topics centered on current and future energy policies and practices in the nation. Student participants will include undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degree seeking students. Those attending will gain exposure to current best practices and career opportunities surrounding the fields of Renewable Energy, Energy Policy, and Energy Efficiency, as well as speaking opportunities.
Appalachian State University is proud to host this event free of registration and accommodation costs courtesy of our generous sponsors; we will be accepting no more than 100 applicants, inviting the best and brightest students to join us at our beautiful mountain campus July 30th through August 1st. Applications must be submitted no later than June 1st. The theme for the 2018 Summit is “Leadership for Good”, and this year the Student Summit will feature breakout groups. Space is limited and the application process is rigorous, however this year it will be bigger than before with even more opportunity to participate! This event is benefited by, and given the opportunity to produce innovative ideas, by the students. We encourage your students to pursue this excellent opportunity to learn from and work with peers and leaders in the field!
